The location of the NFC detection area may vary depending on the smartphone you are using. For the majority of smartphones, the NFC antenna is located at the upper edge of the device or on the back of the device, in the middle. You can drag the Smart Tag over the back of your phone to locate the NFC area. For more details on where to find the NFC detection area on your smartphone, please refer to the manufacturer’s user manual.
Use the adhesive layer at the back of the Smart Tag to place it in a convenient location. Please note that Smart Tags do not work on metal surfaces. The metal disturbs the Smart Tag antennas connection.
The Smart Tags receive their power from phones whom are held close to the Smart Tags. The Smart Tags therefore do not contain a battery that needs to be replaced.

Why can’t my smartphone detect my Smart Tag?
This can have following causes:
1. Check if your smartphone supports the NFC technology and if it’s activated in the operation system.
2. Be sure to hold your smartphone as close to the Smart Tag as possible.
3. A thick or a metallic smartphone case may interfere with your smartphone’s NFC functionality. Please remove the smartphone case to test NFC functionality.
4. Don’t place your Smart Tag on a metal surface, as this may interfere with the reception of your Smart Tag Antenna.
